A 20 cm mill turned from a single oak blank with an unlacquered brass collar and a hardened steel burr that adjusts from a coarse crack to a fine grind by the nut under the cap.
The brass collar will darken with handling. It is not lacquered, so it will not stay bright, and polishing it back is a choice rather than maintenance.
