A straight-sided stoneware crock, 17 cm tall, wide enough to take a dozen utensils without them fanning out and heavy enough not to tip when you pull one from the edge.
Unglazed inside. Unglazed stoneware is porous, so if you put wet utensils in it the base will hold the moisture — stand tools handle-down after drying.
